Driver Training Education
Our primary goal is to train and assist young people who wish to earn their driver's license. We want new drivers to begin their driving career with the best training and driving skills possible. We want them not only to be successful when they report to take their driving test, but we also want them to carry the skills they learn at Palmetto South Driving School with them throughout their entire driving career.
To achieve this goal, we offer a variety of services:
- Teen driver education classes: These classes include 8 hours of classroom training and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Upon completion of this program a student will have gained valuable preparation and practice to take the state road test.
- Teen driver education class cost is $350.00
- Additional behind-the-wheel training: Should students feel that they need more than the prescribed 6 hours of actual driving experience, additional time is available in one-hour increments.
- For each additional hour of driving experience the cost is $40.00.
- Car rental for driving test: Students may elect to take their driving test in Palmetto South Driving School's training vehicle. This service also includes pick-up and pre-test practice.
- Car rental for driving test cost is $60.00.

We all know that we should not drink and drive. Fatal Vision allows young drivers to simulate the effects of alcohol on their motor skills as well as their driving skills.
